Kang Seul Gi (강슬기) professionally known as Seulgi (Korean:슬기; Japanese:スルギ) is a South Korean singer under SM Entertainment. She is a member of girl group Red Velvet and their first sub unit Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. She debuted with the group on Aug 1, 2014 in their first digital single "Happiness".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On Dec 2, 2013 she was revealed as member of SMROOKIES along with [current NCT members] Jeno and Taeyong. It was revealed she was 18 years old, and revealed through a video.[1] On Aug 1, 2014 she debuted with the group in their first single "Happiness".
2016-present[]
On April 17, 2017 she was revealed as a part of Idol Drama Operation Team.[2] It would be called "Girls Next Door".
Jan 9, 2018 it was also revealed that Seulgi would feature on Moonbyul's solo album (later titled Red Moon).[3] The song was also released and titled "Selfish".
Later Sept 18, she was also a part of the "STATION X 0" special formation between Chungha, Jeon So-yeon, her, and SinB.[4] They would later release the collaboration single "Wow Thing".
